As a heads up to families and employees involved in the immigrant visa process (DS-260 Form), the U.S. State Department will pause immigrant visa issuance at U.S. consulates. The visa issuance pause negatively impacts citizens from multiple nations listed in the news announcement attached below. The pause will begin on 21 January 2026. Despite the pause on issuing immigrant visas, U.S. consulates will continue to interview DS-260 visa applicants.
