⚠️ A quick property-damage check can be helpful. A broad release can be a problem.
After a crash, insurance companies may move quickly to resolve the damage to your vehicle.
That is not necessarily a bad thing.
But before signing a release, make sure you understand exactly what it covers.
Property damage and bodily injury are different parts of a claim. If the language in a release is too broad, you may be agreeing to more than you intended.
Before signing:
✅ Confirm what claim is being resolved
✅ Check whether the release is limited to vehicle/property damage
✅ Keep copies of everything you sign
✅ Have unclear language reviewed before agreeing
Every case is different, but the wording matters.
💬 Have you ever read an insurance release and found the language difficult to understand?
