“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” — Proverbs 29:18
That’s a powerful statement, especially for entrepreneurs and anyone building a life with purpose.
Vision isn’t just about having big dreams. It’s about knowing where you’re going. Without it, it’s easy to get distracted, discouraged, or settle for less than you’re capable of. Over time, pieces of your dream begin to fade—not because they weren’t possible, but because they were never consistently pursued.
Too many people create a plan, don’t see results in a few weeks, months, or even a year, and decide it isn’t working. But the best things in life and business are built over time. Vision is about the long game.
If you’re feeling stuck or unsure of your direction, start by asking yourself these questions:
• What do I truly want?
• What will it take to get there? (Do I need new skills, more education, a different job, or a new strategy?)
• Who do I need to know or learn from?
• Who will hold me accountable when motivation fades?
Clarity creates confidence. A vision creates direction. And consistent action—even small steps taken every day—creates the life you’re working toward.
Don’t let impatience cause you to abandon a vision that simply needs more time to grow.
