⏰ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 ⏰

I've always been a planner. Maybe it's my years in the corporate world before real estate, but I like knowing what's ahead and having a game plan!

After nearly 20 years in real estate, I've learned that no two Mondays are ever alike. One minute I'm reviewing contracts, the next I'm scheduling showings, negotiating repairs, or helping someone make one of the biggest decisions of their life.

And somewhere in between, I need to remember to make time for myself, too! ❤️

I've learned that spending just a few minutes on Sunday evening looking at my calendar, setting priorities, and getting organized can make Monday feel a whole lot less overwhelming.

But here's something else life has taught me: You can plan your week, but you can't plan everything life throws your way.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is prepare for what we can control, let go of what we can't, and trust God with the rest.

The same holds true in real estate. Whether you're preparing to sell a home filled with memories, downsizing, or searching for your next chapter, a little planning can make a big difference.

So, as you head into a new week, remember that being prepared doesn't mean having everything figured out. It just means taking the next step with confidence.

And don't forget to leave a little room in that calendar for something FUN! Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just scheduled. 😊

🍁 Your Weekend Guide to Hampton Roads!🍁

One of the things I love most about living in this area is that there's ALWAYS something to do! And fall is one of my favorite times of year. 🍂

After living in Chesapeake for 34 years and now calling Moyock home, I still enjoy discovering everything our communities have to offer. From small-town festivals to waterfront celebrations, there's something special about fall in Hampton Roads.

I've rounded up a few events that caught my eye this weekend. Whether you're spending time with family, meeting up with friends, or heading out for a little adventure like I enjoy doing, there's plenty to choose from!

🌽 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘆'𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘇𝗲 | 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆–𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 | 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲

Ten acres of corn maze, wagon rides, pumpkins, and barnyard animals! This sounds like a fun way to enjoy a beautiful fall day. And who doesn't love a little friendly competition trying to find their way out of a corn maze? 🌽

This one is especially close to my heart because I love seeing our community come together for families. A free, inclusive celebration for children with special needs and their families, featuring games, music, costumes, and sensory-friendly activities. ❤️

🎨 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 | 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆–𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 | 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗸

I love events where you can just stroll, browse, listen to music, and enjoy the atmosphere. With more than 125 artists, beautiful handmade creations, and delicious food, this sounds like a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

Apple cannons, pumpkin launching, sunflower mazes, and farm animals? Now that's my kind of fall fun! If you enjoy being outdoors and doing something a little different, add this one to your list.

Seafood, live music, arts and crafts, and waterfront traditions. What's not to love? I enjoy being around the water, and festivals like this remind me of what makes living in Coastal Virginia so special.

We are so fortunate to live surrounded by American history! Enjoy Revolutionary War demonstrations, historical programs, patriotic celebrations, and the charm of Yorktown.

Life gets busy, and I've learned that it's important to make time to actually LIVE it. Sometimes that means getting out with friends, exploring somewhere new, or simply enjoying a beautiful afternoon.

After more than 19 years in real estate, there's one thing I know for sure: Real estate is LOCAL!

Having lived in Chesapeake for 34 years and now calling Moyock home, I've had the opportunity to experience both sides of the Virginia-North Carolina line. And trust me, every community has its own personality AND its own housing market!

A home in Great Bridge may sell differently than one in Grassfield or Hickory. Virginia Beach isn't Suffolk, and Norfolk condos are a whole different story! Even neighborhoods just a few miles apart can have very different buyer activity.

I always tell my clients that what you hear on the national news doesn't necessarily reflect what's happening in your neighborhood.

That's why I believe in doing my homework, knowing the competition, and giving my clients the information they need to make good decisions. There's no one-size-fits-all approach to real estate!

🌅 𝐁𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 🌅

I've learned a lot about life and new beginnings over the past couple of years. Some changes we choose, and others are chosen for us. And believe me, not every chapter has been easy.

But I've also learned that sometimes we need to look at things a little differently.

A busy calendar means I'm blessed to have people who count on me. A difficult decision means I still have choices. And an uncertain future? Well, that might just mean God is opening a door I haven't seen yet. ❤️

I've experienced enough changes in my own life to know that starting over isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes it's exactly what we need, even when we don't realize it at the time.

I see this in real estate, too. Selling a home filled with memories, downsizing after years of raising a family, or moving somewhere new can be emotional. But a new chapter doesn't mean we're leaving everything behind. It means we're making room for what's ahead.

So if this Monday feels a little overwhelming, remember that not every difficult day is a bad day, and not every ending is a loss.

Sometimes it's just the beginning of something beautiful. 🌅

Dinner at Freemason Abbey comes with a side of Norfolk history.

The building was originally dedicated in 1873 as the Second Presbyterian Church. It later served another church and, for decades, as an Odd Fellows meeting hall before its transformation into Freemason Abbey began in 1988.

Look around today and you’ll still find original roof trusses, stained glass, and bell tower and cathedral window framing.

It doesn’t just look historic—you’re dining inside Norfolk history.
