The family is local to our office in Chesapeake, VA, and has suffered a great deal of hardship recently. On top of the overwhelming heartache of losing their daughter just over a year ago while expecting their son, this family has faced continued hardship in the months since. The father, an active-duty Navy service member, took time off to grieve the loss of his child, but when he felt ready, he returned to work part-time to provide for his family. However, just two days into his new job, tragedy struck again when their vehicle was hit by a driver who ran a stop sign.
Now, their truck is in the repair shop, and they have no vehicle to rely on. To make matters worse, shortly before their son was born, their van was totaled while parked on their street by a passing driver. This family is doing their best to cope with everything life has thrown at them, but they need our help. Whether it's a financial contribution, gift cards to help with essentials, or toys to bring some joy to their son this Christmas, any support would mean the world to them.
