USCIS and our immigration system as a whole are increasingly steering families toward “consular processing” as the path for legal immigration to the United States. This raises an important question for couples: what is the fastest way to bring your future spouse to the United States?

There are two routes — filing Form I-130 for a spousal visa, or filing Form I-129F for a fiancé (K-1) visa. As of June 2026, I-129F petitions are processing roughly 7.5 months faster than I-130 petitions. The fiancé petition also bypasses the need to become “documentarily qualified” with the National Visa Center (NVC): once your I-129F is approved and an NVC case number is assigned, you can move straight into consular processing.

The bottom line — for couples ready to marry, the fiancé visa is the faster path to bring your future spouse to the United States. DM us for more details or to schedule an appointment.

A tremendous win for our client and our firm! After our client was unlawfully detained by ICE, we filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania — and secured his release!

Special thanks to Michael Kiran, Esquire, for his invaluable assistance with EOIR proceedings, and to the U.S. Attorney who reviewed this case carefully and stipulated to our client’s release.

Congratulations to our client. Thank you USCIS-Philadelphia, PA! 🇯🇴 🇵🇸 🇺🇸

Many foreign nationals who enter the United States and overstay their visa are statutorily eligible to apply for a green card through the “adjustment of status” process. USCIS recently announced it will grant adjustment of status only to those who can demonstrate “extraordinary circumstances.” This change carries serious consequences and there are various factors to take into consideration, one of which is unlawful presence. Now is the time to stay informed and to seek experienced, trusted counsel to build a strategy for your case. Call or DM us today to discuss your immigration situation.
