A stigmatized property is property that buyers or tenants may shun for reasons that are unrelated to its physical condition or features. These can include death of an occupant, murder, su***de, and even the belief that a house is haunted.

In 2012, RZI submitted an offer to purchase a property. However, an outdated proof of funds was provided to the buyer, initiating a cascade of problems. Due to a holiday, the buyer couldn’t promptly provide the required proof of funds, resulting in poor communication, a missed fax, and ultimately, the loss of the purchase opportunity.

This bad communication upset RZI and led them to sue the broker that they were working with. Does this instance of poor communication justify legal action?

The owner of the house advertised their house as haunted by ghosts to the public, but when the buyer wanted to rescind his offer due to the hauntings being unbeknownst to him, they went to the court to get this settled.

PropertyClub found the cheapest places to live in Washington based on housing and rent prices plus living costs.

Yakima was found to be the cheapest place, Spokane was 4th on the list, and Cheney was 7th!

In this episode, Cassie, Ali, and I discuss the real estate case of Tom and Consandra Christmas v Exxon Mobil Corporation.

Tom and Cosandra moved into a house that ended up being next to an alligator-infested, waste-disposal site owned by Exxon.

They sued Exxon, claiming the alligator infestation was a nuisance.
