Chattanooga has a traffic problem. Everybody knows it. They act like they're fixing it but it's only getting worse. I have literally driven all the way across the country only to have traffic in Chattanooga. This weekend, they decided to close a lane through the Ridge cut and the traffic is backed up from the Ridge cut all the way to I-59 going to Alabama.

19 years ago, Heather gave me something I never thought I deserved: A lifetime of love, loyalty, family, faith and adventure. She lifted me up into a life that is better than anything I could have ever dreamed for myself. We are complete opposites in so many ways but, in that way, she fills all my empty spaces when I can't, puts all the pieces together when I can't, and shows me the world through a perspective I could never see without her. She helps me get out of my own way sometimes. She builds me up when I want to give up. She is the DNA of my soul. I love her beyond words, and I thank God she said yes, even when I was too broke to afford a ring. Happy 19th Anniversary to my wife. I love you.

Our daughter left me speechless this morning. What a talented singer she is.

And what an honor it was to see her up there singing with (and holding her own) her former vocal coach, Mrs. Calloway, another incredibly talented singer.

My father in law, Jerry, was on the news tonight. It was very moving and respectful. I'm proud of him for having the courage to talk about his time in Vietnam, dealing with and taking the time to help others dealing with similar issues.
