25 years ago, I met the love of my life and I fell in love for the 1st time.
When we got married, we intentionally left God out of our vows. Despite that, our marriage thrived and has been beautiful in so many ways, but we felt it was important for us, our girls and our relationship with Christ to make that declaration official.
So today, 25 years after we met, we did just that. In a private ceremony with our pastor and only our daughters, we reaffirmed our marriage covenant so that God is now at the heart of us and our family.
Heather has been my saving grace in life. Where there was darkness, doubt, insecurity, shame, or negativity, she erased it with love, beauty, brilliance, kindness, and generosity. I truly did not deserve to meet someone who exceeds all of my dreams and expectations the way she has. She is the foundation of all that I have become. She is my biggest supporter and my biggest fan. She challenges and motivates me to always be a better man, husband, father, and believer.
25 years later and I love her more than I ever have.
