Something that is toxic to the public's faith in our system of laws is saying something like, "This was a Obama appointed judge" or "This was a Trump appointed judge." In my experience, most judges try to apply the law fairly regardless of who appointed the judge. Sure, there are some bad apples, but if we let a few bad apples taint the whole barrel, then the citizens will lose faith in the system. Once that happens, society falls apart.
