🏡 Who gets the house is one question. Who can afford to keep it is another.
For many families, a home represents far more than property.
It is where children grew up. Where holidays were celebrated. Where family gathered around the table. Where decades of memories were made.
So when we think about leaving that home to someone we love, it is natural to focus on who will receive it.
But thoughtful estate planning asks another question: Will they be prepared for everything that comes with it?
A home can also come with a mortgage, property taxes, insurance, maintenance, repairs, and other ongoing responsibilities. Leaving someone an asset and leaving them prepared to manage that asset are not always the same thing.
That is where planning becomes bigger than inheritance.
🍃 Legacy is not simply about what we leave behind. It is about considering what the people we love will carry forward.
This week’s Legacy Lesson: Think beyond who gets it. Think about what it will take for them to keep it.
Your Legacy. Your Rights. Your Fight.
