I never imagined I’d be here.
In September 2015, I began my career, hanging my license with a firm where my mother worked for years. I served as the Technology Coordinator and Executive Assistant to a top-producing broker. It felt like home, and I thought I’d found my forever place.
When Ryan and I got engaged, I moved to Charlotte and realigned with a local branch of the same brokerage. For years, I was comfortable and successful. I never thought about leaving.
But in 2021, everything changed.
A dear friend and colleague called to share that she was leaving her brokerage to join a cloud-based firm. At the time, we were in the midst of the pandemic, and Nash was a month old. I was I was deep in the trenches of sleep deprivation, and the thick of postpartum. That simple 30-minute conversation was a wake-up call. Deep down, I’d sensed it was time for a change, but God made it clear—this was the moment.
From 2015 to early 2021, I closed over $9.6 million in sales, capped twice, and paid more than $25,000 in splits each time—without stock options, retirement plans, or extra benefits. A quick spreadsheet revealed how much I was leaving on the table. I couldn’t afford to stay where I was.
So, I made the leap.
I joined a company that invests in its brokers with a manageable $12,000 cap, a reduced 15% split, no overhead fees, stock options, and cutting-edge technology. This move ignited a fire I never knew existed.
In just three years, I’ve nearly tripled my production, approaching $27 million in total sales while capping every year. Now, I’m one transaction away from achieving ELITE status—a milestone that includes $16,000 in stock and an additional $8,000 for sharing expertise through Real Academy.
This was a goal I thought was years away, especially with three young kids at home. It’s been a busy, challenging year, but I’m blown away by the blessings. On one hand, I’m speechless; on the other, I know this is just the beginning.🔥
