I’ve spent weeks trying to find the right words to express what this achievement truly means to me. And honestly? I’m still struggling. Because how do you describe something that once felt impossible?

When I joined Real nearly four years ago, Elite status felt like a far-off dream. I had a two-month-old, a two-year-old, and we were navigating postpartum life in a global pandemic—all while preparing to sell our first home in one of the craziest real estate markets ever. I knew Elite was possible someday, but I figured it would be later—when life calmed down, when time wasn’t so scarce.

Fast forward, and we added another little one to the mix. Somehow, bringing that fiery girl into the world ignited something in me. Maybe it was knowing she’d watch my every move, or realizing there’s never a perfect time to chase your dreams. Whatever it was, something clicked. A few hours postpartum, from my hospital bed, I started running toward those “distant” goals—negotiating and closing a deal right then and there.

Four days later, I packed up baby Charlotte for a listing appointment. The seller’s face said it all when they saw her snuggled in a sling. Two days later, we hosted our first open house—both in diapers! Some thought I was crazy, but those moments set the tone for everything that followed. Since then, Charlotte has been to seven listing appointments, ten open houses, eight closings, and countless showings.

I refused to let motherhood—the very reason I grind—be the reason I didn’t chase my dreams. So, with my kids in tow, I sprinted. Morning, noon, and night, I pushed forward.

But what I didn’t realize?

I wasn’t just chasing my goal. I blew past it.
My 2024 goal was $10M in production. But when I stopped to look at the numbers? $13.6 MILLION. And when I looked closer, I was just two transactions away from a milestone I never even dared to dream of. And guess what? Those two deals were already scheduled.

I SOBBED.

I never imagined I’d be here.

In September 2015, I began my career, hanging my license with a firm where my mother worked for years. I served as the Technology Coordinator and Executive Assistant to a top-producing broker. It felt like home, and I thought I’d found my forever place.

When Ryan and I got engaged, I moved to Charlotte and realigned with a local branch of the same brokerage. For years, I was comfortable and successful. I never thought about leaving.

But in 2021, everything changed.

A dear friend and colleague called to share that she was leaving her brokerage to join a cloud-based firm. At the time, we were in the midst of the pandemic, and Nash was a month old. I was I was deep in the trenches of sleep deprivation, and the thick of postpartum. That simple 30-minute conversation was a wake-up call. Deep down, I’d sensed it was time for a change, but God made it clear—this was the moment.

From 2015 to early 2021, I closed over $9.6 million in sales, capped twice, and paid more than $25,000 in splits each time—without stock options, retirement plans, or extra benefits. A quick spreadsheet revealed how much I was leaving on the table. I couldn’t afford to stay where I was.

So, I made the leap.

I joined a company that invests in its brokers with a manageable $12,000 cap, a reduced 15% split, no overhead fees, stock options, and cutting-edge technology. This move ignited a fire I never knew existed.

In just three years, I’ve nearly tripled my production, approaching $27 million in total sales while capping every year. Now, I’m one transaction away from achieving ELITE status—a milestone that includes $16,000 in stock and an additional $8,000 for sharing expertise through Real Academy.

This was a goal I thought was years away, especially with three young kids at home. It’s been a busy, challenging year, but I’m blown away by the blessings. On one hand, I’m speechless; on the other, I know this is just the beginning.🔥

The event was an outstanding success, filled with fun for all. None of it would have been possible without your support and the amazing vendors who came out to serve our community! A special shoutout to our neighbors Rachel Decker, and Anna and Brian Beck of Bounce Party Carolina for bringing the excitement. The food truck, Stuffed Taters N Dogz, served up some absolutely delicious food and far exceeded expectations, tripling their minimum! You all are amazing! Beyond grateful. Every transaction gives me the privilege to become part of someone’s unique story. Each one is different, with reasons for buying or selling ranging from lifestyle changes, job relocations, and the need for more space, to downsizing, or even the loss of a loved one.

Enter my dear client. She reached out to me just a month ago while we were in the ER with Charlotte after her accident, seeking guidance on buying her first home. After saving and waiting for over seven years, it was finally her time to secure a place for herself and her son.

When I say God showed up and moved mountains for her, I mean it. His plan for her couldn’t have been clearer—it was extraordinary to witness! We scheduled a time to view a new construction home in a highly sought-after area. As we stepped into the first home, her mother became emotional and stepped outside to collect herself. Seeing the deep pride and joy she had for her daughter brought tears to both mine and the sales representative’s eyes. This is what it’s all about!

There’s nothing I love more than a good challenge.

This particular property was just that. The homeowners had purchased this cutie in the midst of the pandemic and completely renovated it inside and out. After a couple of years, they realized that the home just did not have the space that they needed for their large family and decided to seek other opportunities.

As you can imagine, pricing this stunning property was a bit of a challenge given that no home in our community or even in close proximity had been renovated quite like this one. I had to get really creative, and spent hours fine tooth combing comps and current inventory to come up with a price that I felt the market could support but that also did the home justice. The reality of updates and renovations is that you as the homeowner are doing them for yourself and the likelihood of recouping the full value of large renovations in a short amount of time is difficult at best.

After a few days of busting our tail preparing the home for market so as to not miss the prime window for summer exposure, we went live. And boy did it go LIVE. We hosted an open house that had over 40 prospective buyers attend. I had never seen a home crawl with so many interested parties.

After just a few days on the market, and numerous showings, we accepted an offer! And not just any offer… an offer that secured these homeowners a RECORD setting price per square foot for the Porters Landing community!!! To say we were ecstatic would be an understatement.

In our current market, strategic pricing is hyper critical. Overpricing a home, even ever so slightly sends buyers running for the sidelines waiting for the price reductions to start. It’s more imperative than ever to make sure you’re hiring a real estate professional who knows the ins and outs of the local market, and knows how to effectively market and price your home!

This week, our neighborhood bid farewell to a very special family!

Back in March, the Sullivans reached out to me, expressing their interest in listing their home after contemplating a move for quite some time. They had found the perfect situation that would bring them closer to relatives, their kids’ school, and everything important to them.

Navigating the market right now is far from simple, as each home’s situation is unique. While some areas have low days on market, it’s becoming more common to see homes listed for 7-14 days in areas with more inventory. This makes initial pricing crucial!

Unfortunately, another broker had led them to believe their home was worth much less, making them think I was crazy when I suggested our listing price. We meticulously analyzed the numbers for days on end, ensuring we priced the home strategically and correctly. We ran the numbers multiple times until we were confident. There’s a fine line right now between pressing the envelope— and overpricing it.

The open house was a huge success, attracting numerous families, and we ultimately received an incredible offer—over $35,000 higher than what they were previously told! They were able to name the terms, making it a dream offer that gave them the flexibility and timeline they desired. The deal went smoothly, and though I’m so sad to see this precious family leave our community, I am thrilled for them as they start this new chapter nearby.

Back in January, I received an email from a couple in our old neighborhood.

They noticed I had sold two of their neighbors’ homes and were interested in what it could look like if I were to sell their home in the spring. They had a unique situation that required a bit of creativity and careful timing to ensure things would align as they needed.

As we approached the spring market, and time to list, interest rates had increased quite a bit which vastly affected their buyer pool. Buyers are feeling the squeeze right now, more than in any recent market.

We pulled out all the stops to ensure the house was move-in ready which is what buyers are calling for! We painted what was necessary, freshened up the landscaping, replaced the tired flooring downstairs, pressure washed, and had the home deep cleaned including the carpets.

It’s been 3 years.

Three years of incredible change and growth. Growth that I could have never imagined possible. Mindset shifts that have encouraged me to grow and become a more successful entrepreneur and advocate for my clients.

Ultimately when I started looking for my new ‘home’ I knew I was in the search for something I honestly didn’t think existed. I desired a family like culture, powered by some of the most innovative and creative technologies, where the community empowered one another and worked together, and the brokerage was entrepreneur centric.

In March of 2021, a fellow broker that I highly respected, that has since become a sister from another mister, made the announcement that she was leaving the brokerage that she was with and affiliating with what was at the time, a very new and ground level firm. I was uncertain given its newness, but all it took was one phone call for her to share the company’s vision, heart, and what they offered their partners and I was absolutely certain it was where I was called to be.

It was just a few days later that I made the switch that has inevitably changed every aspect of my business. It’s allowed me the freedom to make decisions that positively impact my clients and the financial future of my family. I’ve secured a retirement plan that has more than doubled year over year that I can will to my children. I have the support of some of the most talented and experienced top real estate professionals around the country.

Three years and over $15.3 MILLION in closed volume. For a mama with three kids under the age of five, I’ve made it my mission to show my kids that you can do literally anything you put your mind to. It has consisted of late nights, very early mornings, a lot of coffee, and taking phone calls in the pantry and other odd places, but it’s hands down the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.
