Big Supreme Court decision just dropped—and it’s going to impact how rights are enforced in real life, not just on paper.

Here’s what they said, what it actually means, and why it matters more than people think.

Here’s a clean, strong IG caption that fits your tone and keeps attention:

4/20 reminder.

A lot of civil rights cases don’t start loud.
They start with one sentence:

“I smell marijuana.”

That’s all it takes for things to shift.
From a simple stop… to a search… to force.

You won’t win that argument on the road.
You don’t need to.

Know your rights.
Say less. Stay calm. Get through it.

Then handle it the right way after.

Because these cases are not about who talked better.
They are about what was done—and what it caused.

Power in Protection is not theory.
It’s knowing how this really plays out.

Most people run a business for income.
Smart owners build a business they can keep or sell.

Big difference.

If your business falls apart when you step away for a week.
You don't own a business.
You own a to-do list with a logo.

A real asset can:
• run without you
• have clear systems
• own its brand
• hold legal protection

This is where many miss it.

They grow fast.
But they don’t protect what they built.

No trademark.
No structure.
No plan for the long run.

Then one problem shows up… and everything feels shaky.

If you want a business that lasts, think beyond today’s money.
Think control.
Think protection.
Think ownership.

Build something that can stand on its own.
That is how a business turns into a real asset.

You spend months grinding.
Hustling. Cutting costs. Closing deals.
Then one bad sentence in a contract wipes it all out.

I see it happen all the time.
Not with lawsuits.
With little clauses, people didn't think it mattered.

5 common mistakes:

1. Trusting the other side too much.
2. Skipping the "what if this goes wrong" part.
3. Using a template from the internet.
4. Not defining key words like "reasonable" or "timely."
5. Hoping a bad clause never gets used.

One tiny sentence you didn't think about lets someone walk away for free. Or drag you into a court two states away. Or stop paying and still keep using your brand.

And here is the thing.
You don't need a 50-page contract.
You need the right few sentences.

Protect your profit like you protect your product.
Because nobody works that hard just to lose it to a typo.

It’s not just about the law.

Civil rights litigation is heavy.
You carry your client’s fear with you.
You carry the weight of what happens if you lose.

Behind every case,
There is a real person who has already been through something hard. By the time they talk to a lawyer, they are tired.
Angry. Sometimes scared.
Sometimes they have already lost money, a job, or peace of mind.

This is the emotional reality.

Now the strategic reality is different.
Civil rights litigation is slow. It needs patience. It needs evidence.
It needs someone who understands how pressure works, how timing works, and how to protect the client while the case is moving.

Business owners should pay attention to this. One decision. One mistake. One bad policy. That can turn into a civil rights claim very fast. Most people only realize it when it is too late.

I work as a Trademark Attorney, Civil Rights Attorney and Advocate. I see both sides. I help clients protect what they are building. And I also help when things go wrong.

If you run a business, do not wait for a problem to become a case. Fix the risk early.

Don't gamble with yourself!

Scaling without a legal structure is like building a house on sand.
It feels fast. It feels easy. Until it isn’t.

Imagine this.

A business starts small. Just one person. A few clients. Money comes in fast. Things feel exciting.

So the founder focuses only on growth. More sales. More followers. More deals.

But no legal structure behind it.

No proper trademark. No clear contracts. No business protection.

At first, nothing happens. Everything looks fine.

Then one day, a problem shows up.

Client refuses to pay. Someone copies the brand name. Or worse, a legal notice arrives.

And suddenly the business feels very fragile.

Scaling without a legal structure is like building a second floor on a weak foundation. It may work for a while. But the risk grows quietly in the background.

If your business is growing, this is the time to protect it. Not later.

I work with business owners who are serious about growth and also serious about protecting what they are building.

I am grateful for this.

Not because of the title.

But because of the journey behind it.

Learning the hard way.

Trying again when things did not work.

This recognition means a lot to me.

It reminds me that consistency matters more than talent.

Still a long way to go. Still a lot to build.

But today I am taking a moment to appreciate this.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me and supported me on this path.

Revenue attracts attention.

Ownership creates valuation.

When investors evaluate a company, they look beyond the numbers.

They ask questions like:

→ Who owns the IP?
→ Who owns the brand?
→ Are the agreements enforceable?
→ Are there gaps in the legal structure?

Two companies can generate the same revenue.

But the one with a stronger legal infrastructure will almost always command a higher valuation.

Because it’s easier to scale, defend, and eventually exit.

Legal structure isn’t just protection.

It’s part of the asset.

Two years of Power In Protection. 🥳🎉🎊

I’ll share two of my favorite moments.

They represent the meaning, the mission, the purpose and the goal. We launched on Juneteenth for a reason.

I was in the city taking photos and this brother asked me what firm that was and If i was a lawyer. Long story short. He said he had been applying to law school and got discouraged. That he got side tracked and discouraged. I told him keep his head up, keep hustling and when he makes it I’ll save a space for him at the firm. He said that was all he needed. I motivated him, but he motivated me to build a firm that was able to employ people like him. I can’t wait to see that brother at the top.

Moment two. Settling a case for one of my favorite civil rights clients. She was wrongfully arrested as the violator of a protection order, when she was in fact the person who took out the protection order. Power in protection was able to protect her. To be the person in her corner when the law fumbled. Every chance she got she told me i should’ve run President. Me or 😂

There are many many other moments that remind me why I’m doing this. Honestly, it’s much needed in this work. Between the law, opposing counsel, my pure ambition to be great and that devil called qualified immunity every day is a fight. Be we fight to see another day.

Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. It has is challenges. But those moments remind me of the mission that’s bigger than me. I love it here.

Year 3. Time to get it back in blood!
