Does beauty have an expiration date?

Seeing some of the comments about the women returning to A Different World makes me wonder.

Decades have passed. The men have changed. The women have changed. Faces and bodies look different. Yet the women’s aging seems to be getting far more scrutiny.

Jasmine Guy looks beautiful to me. Does she look like she did when we first met Whitley? No. Why should she?

I don’t look like my younger self either. Sometimes I wish I did. But reaching my sixties is a blessing, and I refuse to treat every sign of those years as a flaw.

Why do you think we judge women’s aging more harshly than men’s—and have you experienced that yourself?

I sell many homes… but who knew stage presence came with the commission?
My comfort zone got possessive. Had to remind her we’re not married.
Another lesson between the closings: don’t let “that’s not like me” talk you out of finding out what else could be.
Learned the challenge. Loved it. Now look what y’all have started.
