Our principal, Chris Staubes, has extensive experience assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, corporate start-ups, contract review and negotiation, physician and dental practice agreements, medical practices, franchise rights, corporate dissolutions, real estate, general corporate matters and litigation. ce for their personal legal needs as well. A certified Circuit Court Mediator since 2009, Chris can assist with any matters that need to be negotiated. Chris is the President of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (www.mountpleasantchamber.org), an organization that promotes businesses of all sizes in the local area. In his role as President, Chris has tripled the organization’s membership, expanded charitable giving, implemented a business education series known as Food For Thought and created the Town Anchors program. In 2014, Chris was elected to the Charleston County School Board, where he served as Vice Chairman. Chris also sits on the Executive Board for the Coastal Carolina Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In 2012, Chris participated in The Riley Institute® at Furman University, and was named a Riley Institute Diversity Fellow. Chris was General Counsel and a member of the Board of Directors for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce from 2000 – 2003. He is a 1998 graduate of the Leadership Charleston. In 2001, Chris was named to the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 for his public and community service. Chris has an AV® Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2010 in the field of Corporate Law. Chris was named "2017 Legal Elite" in Charleston Business Magazine for his work in Mergers and Acquisitions. Chris is a graduate of Wofford College and the University of South Carolina School of Law, and resides in Mt. Pleasant with his wife Tanya and their three children.
