We are especially thankful for all of the first responders who are not able to be with their families during the holidays because they are out on the roads keeping the rest of us safe.

Go-karts: inside vs. outside? Hilton Head zoning board debates plan for outdoor track

Congratulations to Ellis Lesemann and our clients who successfully appealed a Town of Hilton Head decision to the Board of Zoning Appeals. Hilton Head Island’s board of zoning appeals decided Monday to allow an outdoor electric go-kart track.

“Local families like to have places to go with their kids and their grand kids ... a place to have birthday parties,” Ellis Lesemann, legal counsel for the property, told the board on Monday. “It relates to my client’s vision for the island, (it’s) another unique option that is available to residents and tourists.”

Lesemann & Associates is proud to report that we have secured another Million Dollar settlement for our clients. This recent settlement for two wonderful clients who had their lives turned upside down after they were involved in a car accident in in 2017. Our clients were unable to avoid the collision when the at-fault driver suddenly pulled out of a gas station right in front of them, while they were going 45 MPH.

Paralegal & Operations Manager

Alden was born and raised in Ohio and moved to Charleston after graduating from Wake Forest University in 2004 with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Political Science. She has over 10 years experience as a litigation paralegal, managing various phases of the complex litigation process including drafting pleadings, conducting e-discovery, interviewing and preparing witnesses, and assisting with depositions and trials.

In addition to paralegal work at Lesemann & Associates, Alden primarily serves as the Operations Manager of the Charleston Office, responsible for information technology, payables and receivables, billing and payroll. She works closely with our attorneys and is dedicated to making the office and the firm run smoothly.

Alden and her husband Taylor Stair live in Mount Pleasant with their two children Leighton & Harrison.
