Langino Law PLLC

Langino Law PLLC Helping families with catastrophic injury, personal injury, and wrongful death claims in North Carolina - based out of Chapel Hill.

Adam was born and raised in New York and earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Maryland. After graduation, he attended law school at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where he simultaneously competed as an amateur boxer. Developing skills as a fighter required discipline, focus, and resilience - traits that have been assets in his professional life e

ver since. Adam moved to West Palm Beach, FL after law school and worked as an assistant public defender, a job he took out of a fervent belief that justice belongs not just to the rich and powerful, but to everyone. Over the next three years, Adam gained valuable experience as a trial attorney handling complex, high stakes cases. The transition to plaintiff's law was a natural next step. As a plaintiff's attorney, Adam has spent over a decade representing ordinary people who have been harmed by the carelessness and greed of large corporations. He worked at a prestigious national law firm with offices across several major U.S. cities, and served as primary attorney on a variety of catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. His verdicts and settlements total over $50 million, and he considers it an honor and his professional duty to help people hold large corporations accountable. In 2018, Adam and his wife moved to Chapel Hill, NC with their three young children. Since then, Adam has continued to work on cases in North Carolina, Florida, and throughout the country. In early 2022, he decided the time was right to establish Langino Law, PLLC. Owning his law practice affords Adam independence over his cases and the ability to forge meaningful connections with his clients, most of whom are referred to him by a nationwide network of friends and colleagues from a wide variety of legal practice areas. I’m excited to be recognized by my peers in the 33rd edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for my work in Consumer Protection Law and Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs.

Fighting for consumers and standing up for plaintiffs against powerful entities is at the heart of what I do every day. Being recognized by fellow attorneys in these practice areas means the world.

Thank you to my peers for the nomination, my team for their endless hard work, and my clients for their trust.

Congratulations to all of this year's honorees!

There are many firms that handle similar cases that I handle. Some of those firms have lawyers handling hundreds of cases at a time. Not at Langino Law.

I keep my practice small because I want my clients to know that they matter and to feel uniquely supported.

"I didn't see him."

In a motorcycle crash, that isn't an excuse. It’s an admission.

As Chatham County and Pittsboro grow, riders are sharing increasingly busy roads with commercial trucks and distracted commuters. When a collision occurs, the results are often catastrophic—but a rider's vulnerability never excuses another driver's negligence.

We don't buy into stereotypes about riders. We focus on the facts: driver inattention, corporate safety failures, and the critical evidence that disappears quickly after a crash.

If you or a loved one has suffered a life-altering injury on North Carolina roads, we are positioned to fight for the accountability you deserve.

Don’t delay in hiring a lawyer when you’ve been through a catastrophic injury. It could be your most critical mistake if you do.

Catastrophic injury cases are different than other cases.

They require more time, more experts, and a deeper medical understanding of the overall costs of your injuries, both immediate and over the course of your life.

That’s why Langino Law is uniquely positioned to help you in your time of need. We know the difference.

Faster does not always mean better, especially when it comes to catastrophic injury cases.

A quick settlement can be a bad deal. If you are someone you know has been injured, let’s work together to get you what you need.

Together we can hold the responsible parties accountable.

When a violent crime happens on private property, most people focus on the person who committed the act. That's understandable.

But under North Carolina law, there's another important question: Could the harm have been prevented?

Property owners, landlords, and businesses are not responsible for every crime that occurs on their premises. However, they do have a legal duty to take reasonable steps to protect lawful visitors from foreseeable dangers. When known risks are ignored and reasonable security measures are not in place, innocent people can suffer life-changing injuries.

Negligent security cases often involve issues like inadequate lighting, broken locks, lack of security personnel, uncontrolled access points, or a history of criminal activity that was never properly addressed. The key question is whether the danger was foreseeable and whether reasonable precautions could have reduced the risk.

These cases are complex and require a thorough investigation into what property owners knew, what steps they took to protect visitors, and whether their actions met the standard of reasonable care under North Carolina law.

I’ve spent years working on these cases and know the ins and outs of how they are different in our state. If you are dealing with a negligent security case, let’s work together.

I really enjoyed speaking to so many colleagues at the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ) Annual Convention recently.

With hundreds of talented attorneys from across the state in attendance, I had the privilege of sharing key updates on the shifting legal landscape and how it will affect our practices here in North Carolina.

We dove deep into the most significant recent developments in:
-Product Liability
-Class Actions
-Mass Torts

Staying ahead of these case law updates is essential to ensuring we provide the absolute best advocacy for my clients. A huge thank you to NCAJ for hosting such an incredible, well-attended event, and to everyone who stopped by to connect!

Five years ago, I founded Langino Law with a clear mission: to protect and defend the safety of our neighbors and people across North Carolina.

Reflecting on this milestone, my commitment to the communities of Southern Village and Chapel Hill has only grown stronger.

Thank you to the clients, colleagues, and families who have trusted me over the last half-decade. I look forward to continuing this vital work.

It is my honor to help those who have fallen victim to a catastrophic injury. Not sure if that pertains to you? Let’s detail how I determine what qualifies as a catastrophic injury, I ask the following questions:

Is there a long hospital stay?
Were there multiple surgeries?
Do you have a permanent disability from the event?
Was there a significant brain injury?
What is the long-term prognosis?

Knowing the answers to these questions help me determine if what happened to you is a catastrophic injury and how we can work together to hold the parties at fault accountable.
