When Keith Schulner was a trial attorney, it was common for clients to tell him that they would have never sued, or left the company, or harmed the company’s reputation, or a bunch of other costly results, if the company would have done something that was low cost and would likely have been done if they had hired Keith to help with the conflicts, before the conflicts got out of control.

In about one hour, Keith Schulner helped a couple getting divorced reach an agreement to value a business. Unfortunately, one of the attorneys for one of the parties insisted on hiring a forensic account, who charged $20,000 and came up with the same result.

Here is another example of how early conflict resolution can benefit those involved:
Keith Schulner offered his services to a big construction company to help them resolve problems early and save money. The Company did not take up the offer. They refused to paint someone’s cabinets at a cost of about $200, 9 years into a 10-year statute of limitations. That would have resolved the conflict, but instead a lawsuit was filed resulting in a 1.7-million-dollar settlement on top of expensive attorney fees.

Keith Schulner helped resolve a conflict between a professional and his client regarding a six-figure commission the professional was entitled to receive where they settled on a smaller commission and started a new transaction which would more than make up for the lost commission. With litigation, the client and the professional’s relationship would have been permanently ruined.
