Earlier this week, at the North Carolina General Assembly, our firm joined North Carolina legislators and the Gbedee family for a press conference to honor the life of Mr. Emmanuel Kwame Gbedee Senior, and to elevate the urgent conversation surrounding Rideshare Driver Safety. Dallas Managing Partner, Imani Maatuka, delivered remarks on behalf of our firm and the family, speaking to the tragic incident at the center of the case and the broader crisis of rideshare safety. We remain committed to pursuing accountability and justice.

Yesterday, attorneys Rosie Slagley and Cole Mohr proudly represented the firm at the 2026 Champaign County Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing. It was a wonderful day on the course, connecting with fellow professionals, local business leaders, and members of the community. Jae-Lynn Dillard, A Junior at Illinois State University majoring in Political Science and Minoring in Dance. She is grateful and excited to be able to learn and grow here amongst people who are truly dedicated to their work. Jae-Lynn looks forward to contributing to anything she can and to make the most of my time here!

Outside of work she loves to spend my time dancing or embracing the outdoors. Jae-Lynn has been a dancer for about 15 years and it's something she is extremely passionate about. She also enjoys water sports, including paddleboarding or kayaking. It's one of her favorite pastimes.

Fun Fact: I love to tap dance.

Kyrsten Cox is a Champaign native and a 2021 graduate of the University of Illinois, where she earned a degree in Philosophy with a focus on law and ethics. Since graduation, she has gained experience in legal real estate coordination and the commercial insurance industry. Now, she's excited to return to the legal field and join MAE Law’s real estate team.

Outside of work, Kyrsten prioritizes spending time with her friends, family, and dog (Juice). She also enjoys playing in rec league sports, attending live music shows, and catching baseball games in the city.

Fun Fact: Kyrsten loves karaoke—but only if she doesn’t know too many people in the crowd!
