This is a letter our President, Lori Rice, sent to our Representatives here in Franklin County.

Dear Franklin County Representative,

I am Lori Rice the president of the Coalition To Protect Franklin County,
Transource affiliates have reached out to let us know that they are circumventing a project back in Franklin County. I was informed of this by their new public relations person, Carrie Delrosso. I am aware Carrie DelRosso is coming into the county and trying to bring political leaders and community leaders on board with the new revised 9a IEC project.

I am writing to inform you that our opposition has not changed since the start of this project 10 years ago nor do we plan on changing our position. We are still very much impacted negatively and do not desire to live with that.

Keep in mind the Land owners and residents carry the burden of economic losses due to business disruption and the cost borne to engage in the process that is demanded by these for profiting corporations.

Franklin County's Farming Future depends on open farmland and natural resources. Needlessly wasting our resources is not in the best interest of our community in Franklin County. Furthermore, it is not the responsibility of Franklin County landowners and residents to carry the burdens of for-profit corporations.

I’m well aware that Pennsylvania is a large exporter of energy. It is not up to the landowners of Franklin County to bear the burden for other states who have green laws in place to prevent them from growing or developing their own generation for power needs nor is it right for Pennsylvania to continue to pay higher and higher rates because we are exporting such a large amount of energy.

We are respectfully writing to ask that you still support your constituents here in Franklin County in opposition to this unnecessary destruction.
