Rainbows have long symbolized a divine connection, the promise of better times, and a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. Whether you see them through a spiritual, cultural, or scientific lens—or a blend of all three—their appearance is always a reason to pause, look up, and take in something extraordinary in the everyday.

They also remind us of personal growth—that even challenges can lead to meaningful, positive change.

As finals begin, let this rainbow be a sign of resilience, clarity, and a little extra luck. Good luck on finals—you’ve got this.

Happy Law Day!
The 2026 Law Day theme is “The Rule of Law and the American Dream.” The rule of law, the idea that no person is above the law, is what ensures the rights of the people to live their lives as freely as possible and to pursue their dreams.

In the United States, the Rule of Law means that everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from, must be treated fairly under the same laws. The American Dream is the idea that anyone can build a good life in America through hard work. These two ideas are connected: without the Rule of Law, the American Dream is not possible for everyone.

The ABA encourages all Americans to recognize Law Day on May 1, 2026, and to reflect on how the rule of law ensures all Americans have the ability to fulfill their dreams.

Springtime is a magical season when the world is painted with vibrant colors, particularly the delicate hues of pink flowers. Cherry blossoms, one of the most iconic symbols of spring, burst forth in a breathtaking display, inviting us to embrace the new beginnings that spring brings.

The ephemeral beauty of Cherry Blossoms (Sakura) and Plum Flowers (Ume) are celebrated in festivals around the world. Hanami or "flower viewing" is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers (Hana).

We hope you take some time for Hanami and enjoy the beautiful tree blossoms on campus this week.

Tax returns are due by Wednesday April 15, this year. That's 0 days away. If you don't expect to file your taxes by then, you can request a six-month extension.

According to the IRS, most taxpayers who file electronically receive their refunds within 21 days from the date the IRS receives them. Paper returns typically take longer, usually around six to eight weeks.

As of March 27, the IRS had received more than 88.4 million tax returns for the current filing season. The agency had issued approximately $221.7 billion in refunds, with the average refund totaling $3,521.

You can track the status of your refund on the IRS website or on the IRS mobile app IRS2Go.
