Summer buyers and fall buyers can be two very different vibes.
During July and August, showings tend to bring out a mix of people. Some are ready to buy, some are figuring out what they want and some are just casually seeing what is out there.
Then September hits.
The buyers still actively searching often have a reason they want to make a move. A lease is ending. A job change is coming. They want to be settled before the holidays. They have a timeline.
That can make fall an interesting time to sell.
You might have fewer people walking through your home, but the ones booking showings may be much further along in their search.
So if you quietly wrote off selling because you “missed the spring market,” it might be time to revisit that.
Your home, neighbourhood and price range will tell us a lot more than the season ever will.
