This is exactly why Memorial Day hits so deeply for so many families. 🇺🇸

My dad served in Vietnam, and growing up, I heard the stories about the brothers he lost there… and the painful way many veterans were treated when they finally came home. 🏡

That’s something I’ll never forget, and it’s why I will always respect those who served and the sacrifices made for our freedom.🇺🇸

One of the moments that has stayed with me forever was visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. I wanted to walk up to the wall with him, but he needed that moment alone with the men he lost.🪖✝️

He stood there in the rain for three hours.😢

Not speaking. Just remembering his brothers.🎖️

That’s the part of Memorial Day people don’t always see. Behind every name is a story, a family, and people still carrying that loss decades later. ❤️
