The agenda is designed to be highly practical, with sessions that reflect the real-world challenges (and opportunities) facing solo and small firm practitioners right now: We’ll kick things off with a session at 9:15 am on Using AI Tools Competently and Ethically, focusing on real-world applications of tools like ChatGPT, effective prompting strategies, and cybersecurity considerations — something that continues to evolve quickly and impact day-to-day practice. From there, Bridging the Gap: Lessons from Experience and Innovation will dive into mentoring, client relationships, and succession planning — topics that are especially important for sustaining and growing a small practice over time. The mid-morning session on Inclusive Lawyering in Solo & Small Firms will explore how bias can show up in client intake and decision-making, along with practical ways to build more inclusive, client-centered practices — even in very small offices.
