Applying for U.S. Citizenship? Your N-400 Deserves a Careful Review
Naturalization is a major step, but filing an N-400 without carefully reviewing your immigration history can create problems you weren’t expecting.
USCIS doesn’t look only at what you put on your current application. Your answers may be compared with information from prior immigration filings, tax records, travel history, criminal records, and other government databases. Something that seems minor—an inconsistent answer, an old incident, or information omitted years ago—can raise questions during the naturalization process.
