Meet Jagur, a rising junior at Yale University pursuing a double major in American Studies and Environmental Studies. Jagur is a White Earth descendant and he is gaining valuable experience by interning at ALS this summer. His studies and work centers on environmental policy, Native studies, and community organizing at the local and national levels.

At Yale, Jagur serves as Co-President of the Yale Student Environmental Coalition, he also serves as Youth and Family Lead and Board Member at Link New Haven, and National Campaigns Summer Fellow at Clean Water Action in Washington, D.C.

He has previously researched PFAS contamination affecting communities in South Dakota and has lobbied for federal USDA grant funding supporting precision agriculture. Earlier, he served as a U.S. Senate Page and as Chair of the Rapid City Youth City Council.

After graduation, Jagur plans to attend law school to specialize in environmental and federal Indian law.

ALS will be closed tomorrow, Weds. June 22nd for all day staff development activities. We apologize for any inconvenience. Our current intake schedule is typically: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm. Please contact us during those hours for new applications for assistance.
