Stop asking “How do I grow the business?” and start asking “Who do I need to become to sustain it?”

If your business hits a ceiling, don't blame the market or the tools.

A company can only grow as far as its leader, and the real ceiling is almost always your own limits in decision-making, delegation, and emotional maturity.

Here are 4 internal shifts I’m actively practicing to bust through any ceiling brave enough to get in my way.

💗 Radical Acceptance

Everything is working in my favor. There are no true failures, only data points, opportunities, and valuable lessons.

When something goes sideways, instead of panicking, I look for the insight.

💗 Nervous System Regulation

Operating out of constant anxiety, anger, or stress doesn't just create physical inflammation, it keeps your nervous system locked in fight-or-flight.

Regulating my nervous system has been crucial.

You can't make clear, strategic decisions when your nervous system is convinced you're under attack.

Breathwork and somatic grounding have been pivotal in helping me pause rather than react emotionally.

Before I take action on a high-stress problem, I take a step back, breathe, and bring myself back to baseline.

💗 Setting Boundaries and Overcoming People-Pleasing

This one has been tough as hell!

As a millennial, we were spoon fed the “American Dream,” only to realize…

We were hard wired to people please, but the reality is you will never please everyone.

You might as well honor your high-standards and align with your own vision.

💗 Dismantling Scarcity & Limiting Beliefs

Coming from a scarcity background, I used to struggle to receive.

I’m actively training my brain to gracefully accept compliments, high-value opportunities, and support without feeling the immediate, anxious urge to apologize or "pay it back."

To build a bigger business, you have to become a bigger person.

I'm popping up for air to #1 tell you I still exist 😅 and #2 inform you that, holy cow! the power of networking is unreal.

When Fillion Notary & Apostille Services was founded in 2023, I knew no one.

We moved from Michigan on a whim for hopes of better weather & opportunities ☀️

I claimed my google business profile and barely got any calls.

I knew I wasn't going to make it without connecting with community.

was my first networking event.

I hadn't socialized in awhile and was a mom with two young kids and no friends 😭😭😭

It felt easy yapping with a mixed drink about my new notary obsessions.

Got introduced to BNI and just ran through every networking event in the Triangle for 2 years.
