Ever wondered if you could get car insurance for free? đŸ€”

This story is about as close as it gets!

One of our clients was seriously injured in a crash that occurred while she was on the job and she now requires multiple surgeries due to her injuries.

The client’s employer’s insurance policy showed $0.00 in underinsured motorist coverage (the kind of coverage that would compensate my client for her injuries) but $1,000,000 in liability (the kind of coverage that pays someone if she hits them). At The Delashmit Firm, we know that the insurance company must maintain a signed document where the policyholde rejects underinsured motorist coverage under O.C.G.A. § 33-7-11.

Here’s the kicker: if they dont have this document, then there is by operation of law underinsured motorist coverage in the same amount as the liability coverage.

In this case, they couldn’t produce it the form.

Result: $1,000,000 in UIM coverage to protect my client that NO ONE WAS PAYING FOR!

It is vitally important to investigate coverage after a car accident. Call The Delashmit Firm at 770-341-0559 so we can help you or your loved ones investigate the coverage available to help in the recovery after an accident.

đŸš—đŸ’„ Let’s talk property damage!

Insurance Offered Her $7,000
But She Still Would’ve Owed $1,000 On a Car She No Longer Had.

When one of our past injury clients recently had her vehicle totaled, Progressive came back with an offer that didn’t even cover the remaining balance on her loan. She was looking at being upside down and without a car.

Our team stepped in immediately.

📄 In less than two weeks, we were able to negotiate a settlement that:
✅ Paid off her entire vehicle loan, and
✅ Put over $2,000 directly into her pocket to help her get into a new vehicle.

This is exactly why having an attorney on your side matters. Insurance companies have no problem leaving you stuck with debt on a car that’s sitting in a salvage yard — but we don’t let that happen.

If you’ve been in a wreck and the insurance company isn’t treating you fairly, The Delashmit Firm is here to help.

đŸ€” Skeptical about hiring an attorney after an accident? You’re not alone. A lot of people wonder if it’s really worth it — especially when the insurance company flashes a “quick check” in front of them and when it seems like a "small" case.

But here’s the truth: hiring a personal injury attorney is one of the smartest investments you can make.

One recent example: After an accident, a husband and wife suffered injuries and were each offered just $2,500 by State Farm — a total of $5,000 for their pain & suffering.

Instead of accepting the offers, they called The Delashmit Firm, LLC. It took about 1-1.5 years and effort but we resolved their claims for a combined $20,000 (tax-free, by the way).

📈 Think about that as an investment:

$5,000 in the bank? A few bucks in interest.

$5,000 in the stock market? A good year might grow it to $5,500.

Trusting us with their case? That same $5,000 offer turned into $20,000 — a 300%+ return.

So basically, their trust in The Delashmit Firm, LLC outperformed Bitcoin this past year. (That said, it would be prudent to provide the following disclaimer: Every case is different, and past results do not guarantee future outcomes.)

👉 Insurance companies profit when you take the first offer. We work to make sure you do instead.
Don’t settle for less. Treat your injury case like it is an investment because you only have one shot at fair compensation. Call The Delashmit Firm, LLC today and let us fight for the recovery you deserve.

Generally, the statute of limitations on injury claims in Georgia is 2 years from the date of the injury. However, even if your injury occurred more than two years ago, please call The Delashmit Firm to talk about your case. We just obtained policy limits from the negligent driver’s liability insurance for a client whose injury occurred more than 3 years ago. How did we do this? We determined that the negligent driver was still being prosecuted for DUI and other charges, which tolls the statute of limitations. If this client had not called us, he would still be paying for his own medical treatment due to the carelessness of someone else.

In personal injury lawsuits arising out of car accidents, one of the most common questions plaintiffs have is whether they can mention the defendant’s auto insurance during the trial.
In Georgia, the answer is clear: plaintiffs are not allowed to introduce evidence of the defendant’s auto insurance coverage during trial.

Georgia courts operate under the principle that evidence of insurance coverage is irrelevant to the issues at hand in a personal injury trial. The focus of the trial is to determine:

1. Liability: Whether the defendant was at fault for the accident.

2. Damages: The extent of the plaintiff’s injuries and losses.

Introducing evidence of auto insurance could unfairly influence the jury’s decision-making process. The courts aim to prevent such bias by excluding this evidence altogether.
