We are grateful to be represented at the Georgia Capitol by Joel Tisinger during the General Assembly Working Group on Addiction and Recovery – Public Policy Conversation: The Addiction Epidemic in Georgia. His presence ensured that the voices and experiences of Carroll County residents were part of this critical statewide discussion.

We appreciate the bipartisan leadership of the Working Group for their continued commitment to addressing the addiction epidemic and its impact on Georgia families.

Tisinger Vance, P.C. is pleased to announce that attorneys Zack Thompson and Brianna Maxwell have been named partners in the firm. Their promotions recognize their outstanding legal work, dedication to client service, and significant contributions to the firm’s continued growth.

About Zack Thompson:
Thompson has practiced with Tisinger Vance since 2016, focusing on professional malpractice, insurance defense, appellate work, commercial litigation, and representation of electrical cooperatives and utilities. He is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Alabama and represents clients in both state and federal courts.
Thompson joined the firm after graduating cm laude from the Georgia State University College of Law, where he served as an Associate Legislation Editor of the Georgia State University Law Review, externed with the Honorable Presiding Justice P. Harris Hines of the Georgia Supreme Court, and graduated with highest pro bono distinction. Prior to law school, he earned his B.A. in English from the University of Georgia.

Originally from Newnan, Thompson is a lifelong supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta’s professional sports teams. Thompson is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Carroll. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, reading, and spending time with his wife, Mary, and two children.

About Brianna (Sullivan) Maxwell:
Maxwell joined Tisinger Vance in 2017. Her practice centers on general litigation and insurance defense in both state and federal courts. She is licensed to practice law in both Georgia and Alabama.

A Carrollton native, Maxwell is the daughter of retired State Court Judge Bob Sullivan and Missy Sullivan. She graduated from Auburn University summa cm laude with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Italian Studies. She then went on to obtain her Juris Doctor, cm laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2017. During law school, Maxwell served as an Articles Editor and Editorial Board Member for the Georgia Law Review and was active in the Family Law Society and Student Bar Association. She is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies.

Maxwell is a 2024 graduate of Leadership Carroll and was selected as one of West Georgia’s 2024 40 under Forty. She serves on the Board of Directors of Oak Grove Montessori School and is a member of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. Maxwell and her husband, Myles, live in the Carrollton area with their two children and are excited to welcome a third in 2026.

We are very excited to announce that we will be attending the Harvest Moon Bazaar on Saturday, October 4th from 10am to 2pm. We will have some of our adoptable dogs present for the event. Adoption fees are $50 per dog.
We look forward to letting some of our dogs enjoy a fun day out and getting the chance to maybe find their furever families! Make sure to stop by and see us this Saturday!

Olivia Davis, of Bremen, joins the firm’s Summer Law Clerk program working in a variety of practice areas.

Ms. Davis graduated from Bremen High School where she was a standout on the school’s tennis team and mock trial team. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and minor in Economics from the University of Florida in May 2023. While attending the University of Florida, Ms. Davis was Captain of the University of Florida LitiGators Mock Trial Team. Her achievements include four outstanding attorney awards, one outstanding witness award, and 7th place in the American Mock Trial Association National Championship Tournament. She was a member of the Student Admissions Officers where she gave tours to prospective students and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.

Ms. Davis is now a Candidate for Juris Doctor at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. During her first year of law school, Ms. Davis was awarded two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Criminal Law and Introduction to Business Law. This award is given to the student scoring highest in the course. She also recently participated in a study abroad program in London, United Kingdom and Brussels, Belgium where she studied transnational business law and European Union regulation law.

Prior to participating in the Tisinger Vance Summer Law Clerk program, she was an administrative assistant for 7Sage LSAT tutoring. She also worked as a legal assistant and office manager at Schackow & Mercadante, PA in Gainesville, Florida from May 2022 until July 2024.

In her free time, Ms. Davis enjoys cooking, spending time with her two cats, traveling and reading.

Tisinger Vance, P.C. is pleased to welcome Supreme Unukegwo, of Delta State, Nigeria, as a Summer Law Clerk.

Supreme holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Lagos (2017) and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Georgia (2022).

He is currently pursuing his Juris Doctor at the University of Georgia.
Supreme is a dual-qualified attorney and member of both the Nigerian Bar Association (admitted 2018) and the State Bar of Georgia (admitted 2024).

At the University of Georgia School of Law, Mr. Unukegwo is a Teaching Assistant to Professor Assaf Harpaz and Judge Anna Howard (J.D. '10),
a United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Georgia.
He is also an active member of the Mock Trial and Negotiation teams and serves as a Student Editor for the Georgia Journal of Intellectual Property Law.

During his free time, Supreme enjoys playing soccer, running long distances, and swimming.

Tisinger Vance, P.C. is pleased to welcome Ashton Thomason, of Dallas, as a summer law clerk.

Ms. Thomason is a graduate of Paulding County High School, where she graduated first in her class from the Academy of Science, Research, and Medicine.
She studied psychology at the University of Georgia and minored in law and studio arts. After graduation, Ms. Thomason began studying law at the University of Georgia School of Law.

Ms. Thomason will be a third-year law student this fall and will graduate in 2026. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, drawing, and watching reality television with her younger sister.

Tisinger Vance, P.C. is pleased to welcome Ben Bradley, of Carrollton, as a summer law clerk.
Ben graduated from Carrollton High School, where he was a member of the Trojan Band and the Varsity Rifle Team.

Ben graduated summa cm laude from the University of West Georgia with a degree in Finance and Supply Chain Management.
He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and served on the Dean’s Council.

After graduating, Ben worked for a year at Southwire in Accounting.

Ben is attending law school at Georgia State University College of Law.
He serves on the executive board for the Federalist Society, is the Treasurer for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and works with the Veterans Legal Assistance Program through the Atlanta Legal Aid.

This fall, Ben has accepted a clerkship for the Georgia Court of Appeals.

In his spare time, Ben enjoys being outdoors and playing the trumpet on Sundays at Roopville Road Baptist Church, where he is a member.
