Hello October. Crisp morning breezes, lower humidity, and that unmistakable shift in the air as our coastal community gears up for the season ahead.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a cause that hits incredibly close to home for our team. As a survivor herself, LeAne encourages everyone to use this time as a gentle reminder to prioritize your health, schedule your screenings, and get checked.
It is also the official turning point of the year across our islands and coastal waterways. We are welcoming the return of our weekly outdoor farmers markets, getting ready for the long-awaited opening of Stone Crab season on October 15, and celebrating local fall traditions from Cape Coral Oktoberfest to art walks in the River District. Out on the water and along the trails at Ding Darling, the wildlife is active, the temperatures are comfortable, and the days are made for being outside.
Between the fresh Gulf seafood, open waterways, and vibrant community energy, there is simply no better place to welcome the new season.
