This Saturday, December 13, from 4 - 6 pm, on Fountain Street beside Vasterling Suites, will be the "Tesla 2025 Worldwide Christmas Light Show". Fountain Street will be closed for this event.

Tesla owners can download the custom light show the morning of the event. In 2024, over 2000 Tesla owners worldwide participated in the Christmas event.

Here is the schedule for tonight:

First, Fountain Street will be closed starting at 2 pm. Don't have your car here or it will get towed.

5:30 pm. Food Trucks will start serving food. Several will be parked on Fountain. S'mores station will also open at this time.
6:00 pm Master of Ceremonies will be welcoming the crowd (there will be a crowd)
6:10 pm Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive.
6:20 pm Tree lighting
7:00 pm Over.
There will be musicians, acrobats, elves, the Grinch, etc. Lots to see and do.
This event will be held at Jared W. Ritter's Vasterling Suites, at the corner of Broadway and Fountain.

Join us for the 7th annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Downtown Cape Girardeau!🎄

Old Town Cape’s 30-foot Christmas Tree has quickly become a holiday destination for crowds in Cape Girardeau and surrounding areas. On the Friday following Thanksgiving, spectators can visit the corner of Broadway and Fountain to sing Christmas carols, entertainment by illuminated aerial performers, enjoy warm beverages and treats, and of course, watch Santa Claus light the tree. The tree then remains lit throughout the Christmas season until the beginning of the New Year.
