Right here in Northwest Cape Coral, Sirenia Vista Park provides a kayak launch and access to the Matlacha Pass area. A great spot for anyone looking to enjoy Southwest Florida from the water!

I ran by a property this afternoon, and this little burrowing owl was perched on a post right next to the front door. I noticed one eye looked completely different from the other.

He seemed alert and comfortable. Has anyone ever seen this before in a burrowing owl? Could it be an old injury, discoloration, or something else?
