Robson Powers, ESQ,., believes students develop practical skills by working and interning at law firms, learning from judges, and gaining experience under seasoned attorneys.

Kara Rogers, ESQ., proposes a different approach: What if law school graduates completed a one- or two-year legal residency under the supervision of an experienced attorney before fully entering practice.

Similar to medical residencies, this could give new lawyers structured, hands-on experience while developing their legal judgment, confidence, and practical skills.

➡️ Rude Comments Fall Short Of Stalking, Fla. Panel Says
-- Published September 21, 2026 --

The Law360 article by Parker Quinlan reports on a Florida appeals court decision finding there was INSUFFICIENT evidence to sustain the stalking injunction.

⚖️ Robson D.C. Powers, Esq., who represented the appellant, Kathie Bernsten, was quoted in the article regarding the decision and the resolution of the case after two years.

"I think it was the correct legal decision," Powers said. "The trial court always does their best, and they found the conduct offensive, but I'm glad the appellate court saw the state law as it currently stands."

A Florida appeals court has ruled there was insufficient evidence to sustain a stalking injunction against a woman who was described as "bullying" her neighbor by making mean comments about the neighbor's weight and a disability.
