Planning for a loved one with special needs?
Our firm assists individuals and families with establishing Trusts for individuals with special needs that are designed to provide additional financial support for a beneficiary while preserving access to available public benefits and services.
These trusts allow assets to be held by a Trustee for the benefit of an individual with special needs. Rather than providing funds directly to the beneficiary, the Trustee has discretion to make distributions for the beneficiary’s supplemental needs, such as medical and dental care, education, special equipment, counseling, recreation, travel, and other expenses that can enhance the beneficiary’s quality of life, that may not be covered by public assistance programs.
