Ask almost anyone to define “real estate” and they’ll give you the same answer: property. Buildings and land; buying and selling; big, complicated transactions. At The May Group, we see things a little differently. For us, the definition of real estate is people. People living their lives, growing and changing, transforming houses into homes, building wealth and independence. It is about people sharing experiences, making memories, coming together, and celebrating. When you focus on people first, the business of real estate shifts and becomes truly meaningful. The buildings and land, the buying and selling, and all the thousands of details involved in every real estate transaction are like the pieces of an intricate jigsaw puzzle. Poured out of the box onto a table they seem impossibly complicated. Putting them together is challenging and occasionally frustrating, but also infinitely satisfying. When I say I know agents from other markets, I really mean it. One week at Sotheby's global networking event, and I have three amazing new people in my life. I would feel great referring any friend or client to each of these ladies, plus a handful of others not in this picture!

One of our favorite things about real estate is getting to follow where people - and their creativity - take them next.

A former client of ours moved to San Miguel de Allende to design & build na | na, a beautiful new guest house and hospitality project tucked into the gardens of this magical city.

We first got to know his work through CALA in Davis Square, the incredibly unique development we represented in 2021, and later had the privilege of selling his own Cambridgeport home when he made the move to Mexico.

His spaces have always had a way of blurring the line between indoors and out, and na | na may be our favorite yet. Quiet courtyards, lush gardens, beautiful architecture… we’re already wondering if this is where The May Group’s 2027 planning retreat needs to happen?!
