We’re hiring a Clinical Instructor at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau!

The Harvard Legal Aid Bureau (HLAB) – the nation’s oldest student-run legal services organization – is seeking a full-time Clinical Instructor (CI) to join our mission-driven team.

As a CI, you will:

- Supervise & mentor Harvard Law students handling civil legal aid cases, especially in Wage & Hour
- Guide students in courtroom advocacy, legal writing, and client relationships
- Support community partnerships and help shape the next generation of public interest lawyers
- Join a collaborative team committed to racial, social, and economic justice in Greater Boston

Qualifications:
- JD (3+ years out), 3+ years relevant experience
- MA bar admission (or eligible under SJC Rule 3:04)
- Experience in wage & hour, housing, family law, or general civil litigation
- Strong mentoring, communication, and collaboration skills

Maddy Scannell ‘26 was recently featured in HLS Clinical Spotlights! Maddy is the practice area head of HLAB's Wage and Hour Practice Area. In her first year at the B, Maddy has already helped to secure thousands of dollars in judgments for low-wage Boston-area workers.

A huge congratulations to 3L Louis Lin for receiving the 2025 Skadden Fellowship! Next year, Louis will be in Pennsylvania, working at Philadelphia Legal Assistance to address displacement in Philadelphia’s low-income Asian American communities by providing comprehensive direct representation to tenants facing evictions and engaging in systemic advocacy to expand tenant protections and advance language access for AAPI and immigrant residents.

Each Tuesday, HLAB students and clinical instructors head to Jamaica Plains to work with one of our incredible community partners, .vidaurbana. City Life/Vida Urbana (CLVU)is a community of organizers who support tenants and advocate for housing justice. As part of our partnership, HLAB provides legal advice to tenants and supports CLVU on their long-term projects. Check out their incredible mission at https://www.clvu.org/
