Efficient estate planning can save you and your loved ones a great deal of difficulty and heartache.
A Last Will and Testament is an essential document to outline your decisions about the disposition of your property, including real estate, personal property, and any number of assets. A Will also specifies your preferences about your burial or cremation; processing your debts; the selection of an Executor/Executrix to carry out the estate matters outlined; and decisions about custody of minor children. In the case of minor children or children under a certain age of your choosing, a Trust can be included within the Will to specify how to handle your property until the child comes of age; to name a Trustee to guide these matters; and to provide for final distribution at the completion of the Trust.
A properly executed Last Will and Testament determines how your estate is handled. Without such a document, your assets may be allocated in a manner and to individuals who you do not want to receive any inheritance.
