CLICK BAIT, what is it? I see people constantly fall for it, ignoring the risks. This is a cleverly devised post, usually asking a question. These questions can be, 'What's your least favorite food?, How many people can actually say they own a physical bible?, What's your favorite food to cook on a Friday night?, How many states have you lived in?' Innocent enough, right? Wrong.

Page hosts use these posts to get 100s of thousands of likes, comments, and shares. They are used to both gather information and to build up the popularity of that page, then basically sell it to the highest bidder for other purposes.

DON'T FALL FOR IT!!! Liking, commenting, or sharing these posts puts your own information at risk and are simply a tool to build their popularity. Avoid click bait at all costs and keep you and your family safe.

"I bought an XBOX 1 bundle totaling about $600.00. Best Buy said I could return it within the next 14 days if I was not satisfied with my purchase. Four days later, I went to return my bundle and they said that the serial number of my Xbox 1 didn’t match with the receipt and they couldn’t take my return.

For an hour, we went back and forth on how this could possibly be a mistake! At the end, I left without making my return. I went home and vented to everyone I could possibly come in contact with.

I stopped and thought… why wouldn’t I just call my law firm and they can handle this situation for me? I consulted with my lawyer and they sent a letter on my behalf to the Best Buy store Manager.

“Some time ago, I purchased an extended warranty for my car for $3000.00. I never had a problem until the first time I needed to use the coverage. They paid for the repairs to my car but I was told that I still owed them money for the coverage. When I told them I had the receipt that showed it was paid in full, I was told that they had switched companies and my receipt was not good with them. Here's a tip to help prevent phishing, getting scammed or hacked. When receiving a connection request on social media, use email, phone, in person, another account you're already connected on to verify the request...just don't ever accept the request without looking into it first.

"I tried to trade in my car, but the dealership only wanted to give me $2,000 when I thought it should have been worth at least $9,000; then, the dealership told me my car had frame damage! I told them that was impossible, because I was never in an accident the entire time I owned the car, and I bought it with a clean Car Fax. Or so I thought. Apparently, the original place I bought it from knew it was in an accident, but never disclosed it to me!!
