Associate Estate Planning Attorney
Provision Law Firm | Burnsville, Minnesota
Provision Law Firm is growing, and we’re looking for an Associate Estate Planning Attorney to grow with us.
We are a small, close-knit estate planning firm in Burnsville, Minnesota. Our growth has come from providing high-quality legal work and exceptional client service in an approachable, personal environment.
This position is especially well-suited for an attorney with an entrepreneurial mindset. Compensation is based primarily on attorney-generated revenue, with bonus opportunities and significant earning potential for high-performing attorneys.
You won’t be doing it alone. Provision has an experienced support team and established systems so our attorneys can focus on clients, legal advice, estate plan design, relationships, and practice growth.
What You’ll Do
Meet with clients and design customized estate plans.
Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related documents.
Advise on probate avoidance, asset protection, wealth transfer, trust funding, and estate and gift tax issues.
Assist with planning for minor children, blended families, special needs beneficiaries, family cabins, and other unique assets.
Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals.
Develop client and referral relationships and participate in networking and business development.
Who We’re Looking For
You should be client-focused, hardworking, entrepreneurial, personable, detail-oriented, and collaborative. You should enjoy working directly with clients and be able to explain complicated legal concepts in a clear, practical way.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing in Minnesota
Working knowledge of wills, trusts, probate avoidance, asset protection, wealth transfer, powers of attorney, and health care directives
1–3 years of estate planning experience preferred
Strong drafting, communication, and client counseling skills
Experience with Minnesota estate tax planning, irrevocable trusts, special needs planning, business succession, cabin succession, or high-net-worth clients is a plus.
Why Provision?
You’ll have the opportunity to build a practice and be rewarded for the revenue you generate, while having an experienced support team, established systems, marketing, and a growing client base behind you.
We are small enough that your ideas and contributions matter, and growing enough that there is significant opportunity ahead.
We plan to fill this position by October 1, 2026.
