11/29/22 ADA serial lawsuit filer Scott Johnson (quadriplegic wheelchair attorney from Sacramento) who has filed several hundred thousand cases against small businesses throughout California ‘claiming’ inaccessibility with damages, pleads guilty to Federal Tax Evasion case against him in U.S. v. Johnson.

The kicker? No prison time because he’s a quadriplegic and Federal prison is not ADA compliant or otherwise facilitated to house him….so, home confinement it is.

(Summer ‘22) Kelly Litigation Group, Inc. ~ in these very odd times in which we live, problem solving can be harder to accomplish. I have found zoom meditation sessions less effective since parties are remote physically and stay ‘remote’ without true engaging to solve the problem(s) they are facing.

Today we’re breaking the lack of engagement or lack of presence of remote negotiations. The mediator and opposing counsel agreed to my ‘out of the box’ suggestion: we are holding a socially distant but physically present mediation in a wonderful place: Golden Gate Park!

Attained a good resolution today at Alameda County Superior Court pre-trial settlement conference prior to picking a jury in January ~ the case involved a fire loss and in light of the Ghost Ship tragic losses neither party wanted jurors to hear their case. Prudent decision.
