For those asking “How’s the market or what’s going on with our market?”…. Here is something I’ve been sharing with colleagues and some of my recent sellers, and wanted to share with you:
Welcome to the real estate transition WAVE! 🌊 🏡
After nearly 12 years of a predominantly seller-favored market, we’re seeing a noticeable shift toward a more buyer-friendly and balanced market in many areas.
Real estate has always moved in cycles, but this last one was unusually long. Historically low interest rates, COVID-era stimulus, limited inventory and incredible buyer demand helped fuel the multiple-offer frenzy we experienced at the peak.
Now we’re feeling the other side of that wave.
Think about trying to turn a massive ship around quickly—you’re going to feel some movement and turbulence before it settles into its new course. 🚢
Sellers are having to adjust expectations. Buyers have more negotiating power and choices. Homes may take longer to sell. And affordability and interest rates continue to play a major role in what buyers can, and are willing, to pay.
But here’s the important part: this doesn’t mean the housing market is “bad.” It means the market is changing…
After 21+ years in this business, I’ve learned that every market creates opportunities, you just have to understand where they are. Whether buying or selling, strategy matters more than ever right now.
Markets change. We adapt!
So batten down the hatches and HOLD ON! 😂🌊 We’ll navigate this wave just like we’ve navigated the others. 🏡🙏🏽🫡
