The client, a Lien Registration Service in Orange County licensed by the California Department of Motor Vehicles, was the subject of a disciplinary Accusation. A car dealership defrauded a customer and utilized the services of the Lien Registration Service to commit the Fraud. The Lien Registration Service had no knowledge of the Fraud. The matter proceeded to a Hearing before the Office of Administrative Hearings. The Administrative Law Judge dismissed the Accusation against the Lien Registration Service.

The client, a Teacher in San Bernardino County, received a Complaint from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. The Teacher was accused of slamming a door on the hand of a student and verbally harassing students due to their appearance. The CTC closed the Complaint without the imposition of any discipline.

The client, a Contractor in Riverside County, received a disciplinary Accusation from the Contractors State License Board. The Accusation stemmed from the Contractor's felony conviction for a s*x offense. The matter proceeded to a Hearing before an Administrative Law Judge at the Office of Administrative Hearings in San Diego. Extensive mitigation evidence was prepared on behalf of the client. The Administrative Law Judge issued a Public Reproval.

The client, a Teacher in Los Angeles, received a Complaint from Commission on Teacher Credentialing. The Complaint alleged that the Teacher engaged in s*xual relations with another School District employee on school property during the workday. The Commission on Teacher Credentialing did not revoke the Teacher's Credential and imposed a suspension.

09/28/2021

The client, a General Contractor in Los Angeles, received a Complaint from the Contractors State License Board. The Complaint alleged an improperly installed solar power system, elder financial fraud and the failure of the Responsible Managing Officer to be involved in the project. The CSLB then investigated the business practices of the company. The CSLB investigation against the Contractors License resulted in a Letter of Admonishment (Warning Letter) with no formal discipline imposed.

07/02/2021

The client, a Los Angeles Chiropractor, was accused of failing to properly treat patients within the standard of care and failing to turn over patient records. The California Board of Chiropractic Examiners initiated an investigation. The allegations were disproved. The California Board of Chiropractic Examiners closed the Complaint against the Chiropractor.

06/15/2021

The client, a Los Angeles area Certified Public Accountant, was accused by a client of misappropriation of funds, negligence in the practice of Accountancy and record keeping violations. The CPA had defenses to the allegations. The California Board of Accountancy initiated an investigation that spanned almost two years. The California Board of Accountancy closed the Complaint against the Accountant.

05/17/2021

The client was a Certified Public Accountant in Los Angeles. who surrendered her license due to a disciplinary manner involving misrepresentation of her certification hours to become a licensed CPA by the California Board of Accountancy. Once eligible, the client filed a Petition for Reinstatement for her CPA License to the California Board of Accountancy. The California Board of Accountancy scheduled a Reinstatement Hearing before the Board. Subsequent to the Hearing, the California Board of Accountancy reinstated the client's CPA License with no disciplinary order.

05/14/2021

The client, a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Santa Barbara, was convicted of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI) with a prior conviction for DUI. The LVN was subsequently arrested for Public Intoxication. The California Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians filed an Accusation against the Licensed Vocational Nurse. Prior to a Hearing before the California Office of Administrative Hearings in Los Angeles, BVNPT entered into a Stipulated Agreement (settlement) with the client. The Licensed Vocational Nurse was placed on three years probation with the Board under standard terms and conditions.
