The Climate Prediction Center just put out their two week tropical hazards outlook. Look, water is wet and once we get past Aug 20th, the tropics will likely pop off storm after storm. We sit back, don’t panic and watch each disturbance. I’m sure you’ll see this graphic circulating around so I wanted to get ahead of things. Note, the next signal for the LRC comes August 17-24th.

Please let me know me know if you know the person pictured below. He attempted to break in to my office (311 Walnut Street, Bunkie) at approximately 12:50 AM today. He is heard on my video possibly talking to himself or someone else about “shooting her”. Any information about his identity is greatly appreciated.

Update: Thank you to everyone that contacted us identifying this individual. I have been in contact with Bunkie Police Department this morning. The individual has been identified. He is on probation/parole. I spoke with the Bunkie Police chief this morning, and this matter is being addressed. Thank you everyone for your help, and thank you, Bunkie Police Department for acting on this quickly.

Can you believe its only 34 days till our annual Bunkie Rotary Christmas Parade!!! Last year, we had over 45 entries and we're planning for even more this year! Entries will be judged and gift cards will be awarded to the winners. So plan to join the fun, whether riding in the parade or watching the parade along Hwy 71. We'll be rolling from Griffins all the way to the Lyon's Market Shopping Center. See you along the route!!!

EDITED: Thank you everyone for sharing!!!! The parents of the teenager that was pictured here contacted me and will address the issue. We are happy no one was hurt, no property was damaged, and the parents were notified. I am taking down the pictures at this time, but we will be cooperating with appropriate parties to identify the other two individuals in the videos. Thank you everyone for sharing and for helping keep the community safe.

ORIGINAL: The individual pictured here, along with at least 2 other individuals were at my office at 12:02am today. As soon as the lights activated they immediately turned and ran.
