We received this lovely batch of cookies and a thank-you note from a grateful client today, and it meant more to us than they probably realized.
Immigration has been a really difficult area to practice law lately. It can feel like a terrible roller coaster of highs and lows.
Cases are still being approved—even difficult ones. We are still winning appeals of denials. But every approval feels especially hard fought right now. The rules and policies governing even routine cases seem to be constantly shifting. Form editions change. Fees increase. Procedures that were predictable for years suddenly aren't. And our clients are frightened—understandably so. Sometimes even our U.S. citizen clients are afraid.
Through all of this, I get to work every day with an incredible team.
The people at Kruger Immigration are smart, focused, hardworking, and deeply committed to doing this work well. They keep showing up. They pay attention to the details. They care about our clients. They fight through the frustrating cases and celebrate the victories, even when those victories took far more work than anyone outside our office will ever know.
So when a client takes the time to say thank you, it really does mean a lot to all of us.
I'm so glad we were able to help this client get their green card application approved. And I'm especially touched that, at the end of a long and difficult process, they took a moment to recognize the people who helped them get there.
The cookies were delicious. But the note is the part we'll remember. 🥹
