Kelly Carr is an immigration attorney and partner at Fiegel & Carr Law Firm. Carr has been active in the immigration field since 2010. As a law student, she served as a Law Clerk for the University at Buffalo's immigration attorney. During this time, Ms. Carr prepared over one hundred H-1B petitions and helped secure Green Cards for many Professors and Researchers. Carr has exclusively practiced immigration since her admission to the New York State bar. Carr's current practice is focused on securing business visas, including H-1B, L-1 and TNs. She also appears frequently with clients at the ports of entry near Buffalo to facilitate the issuance of NAFTA work permits and to overcome inadmissibility issues. Carr enjoys working with families and married couples in obtaining temporary visas, Green Cards and U.S. citizenship. Carr recently presented a seminar at the Ontario New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) Conference specially geared toward Canadian business visitors and work permit applicants. She spoke about the current atmosphere at the border regarding Canadian business visitors, highlighting certain strategies used to enter the U.S. without hassles or burdensome delays. Carr also provided an overview of work permits available to Canadian citizens, including the advantages and disadvantages of presenting applications at a Port of Entry or with a USCIS service center.
