Had a great time going back to St. Joe’s to speak with the junior class about my career as a lawyer. It’s rewarding to share some real-world perspective and (hopefully) help students start figuring out whether this path is the right fit for them.

Also truly honored to have been asked to speak—especially considering how many talented lawyers have come out of St. Joe’s. Grateful for the opportunity to give back in a small way.

Uber recently donated $3 million to Governor Kathy Hochul’s reelection campaign.

Coincidence? Unlikely.

Governor Hochul is pushing auto insurance changes she says will lower costs, but they could limit how much injured victims recover while benefiting insurers. Her plan would cap certain car accident payouts.

Her planned changes could leave injured New Yorkers covering more of their own medical bills and losses after a car accident.

Today, the Court of Appeals overturned a longstanding precedent that prohibited an injured victim from recovering damages due to the negligence of a defendant for the actions of their domestic animal, like a dog. Flanders v. Goodfellow.
