🏡 More homes on the market could mean more room to negotiate.

Active inventory recently reached about 1.5 million homes, its highest level since May, while pending sales have slowed. That combination is giving some buyers more leverage than they’ve had in recent years.

If a home has been sitting on the market, buyers may have an opportunity to negotiate more than just the purchase price. Seller-paid closing costs, repairs, or a mortgage rate buydown could all potentially be part of the conversation.
