Aurea Living by Oyama
— Where time, beauty, and space quietly come together.

Along the elegant streets of Back Bay, the townhouses do more than offer shelter.
They hold layers of time—silent, intricate, and deeply human.

The story of this home does not begin in the nineteenth century.
It reaches much further back, to the 1630s, only a few years after the Mayflower arrived on this coast.
The Loring family, among the early settlers from England, came to Massachusetts during this era.
Around 1658, they built a simple timber home in Hull—a home that still stands today,
a small sanctuary that preserves the earliest rhythms of New England time.

Generations later, the Loring family owned the land that would become Beacon Street,
quietly shaping the “space” that Boston would grow into.

By the late nineteenth century, Back Bay—once a tidal marsh—had been transformed over thirty years into an elegant neighborhood modeled after Paris.
It was during this moment of cultural rebirth that the land changed hands.

The parcel where 357–359 Beacon Street now stands was acquired by
Henry Rogers Dalton, a man with a remarkable personal history.

Henry had served as a captain during the Civil War,
and in the years that followed, he became a successful insurance broker,
well-regarded within Boston’s social circles.
He held a deep affection for Back Bay—its culture, its refinement,
and the quiet beauty that shaped everyday life here.

In 1885–1886, it was Henry who built the townhouse that stands today,
infusing it with the integrity of his character
and the gentle elegance that defined Boston’s golden age.

This is why the home feels different.
Because within its walls,
more than 300 years of time,
the beauty this city has cultivated,
and the spaces shaped by generations of lives
come together in a single, quiet harmony.

This weekend, you are invited to step into that story.
You don’t need to be looking for a home—
just being in the space,
surrounded by its light and history,
can be a deeply enriching experience.

🌿 Aurea Living by Oyama – Today’s Special Feature
— Brattle Street Historic Open House Collection —

Brattle Street in Cambridge is not just a prestigious address—
it is a living record of America’s cultural, architectural, and intellectual history.

Once known as King’s Highway, and later as Tory Row for the Loyalist families who lived here,
this street has witnessed the Revolutionary era, literary golden ages, and the rise of Harvard’s intellectual influence.
Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, among many other cultural figures, called this area home.

✨ The beauty of Brattle Street is that its richness can be experienced by anyone.
You don’t need to purchase a home here to feel its quiet elegance.
Simply walking its tree-lined path is enough to sense the history and refinement that define the neighborhood.

Today, several historic homes on Brattle Street will be open to the public:
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, a rare two-hour window to step inside these remarkable properties.

The price points—5M to 15M—may be beyond what most people would consider.
But that’s not the point.

🌿 The value lies in experiencing the ambiance.
In seeing the craftsmanship.
In feeling the story the homes carry.

Sometimes, visiting a place—stepping into its history—is enough to inspire something within you.

If you’re free today between 12 and 2 PM,
take a walk down Brattle Street.
Step into an open house or simply admire the architecture from the sidewalk.
