One last reminder as the quarter wraps up: a trust agreement and a property transfer are two separate steps, and your plan needs both.
The agreement outlines your wishes. But real estate typically needs a deed or other legal documents before the trust can properly hold it. Skip that second step, and the plan on paper may not match what happens in practice.
If you created a trust this year, or years ago, and you're not certain your property was transferred into it, don't guess. Review it with an attorney and know for sure.
