Let's be honest... 👀

What's the biggest reason you've delayed estate planning?
I'm too busy.
I don't know where to start.
I'm too young.
I don't think I have enough assets.

As an estate planning attorney, I've heard all four.

The reality is that most people don't delay because they don't care. They delay because life gets busy, the process feels overwhelming, or they assume they'll have more time later.

But if someone depends on you, your family, your business, or your income, estate planning isn't just for "someday."

It's part of protecting everything you've worked so hard to build.

Sometimes the greatest breakthroughs begin when it looks like there's almost nothing left.

This week, as I celebrated 15 years in practice, I reflected on a simple question:
What do you already have in your hands?

The widow's miracle started with a small jar of oil. Nehemiah's restoration started with a vision. Sometimes our next season begins when we stop focusing on what's missing and start using what remains.
I wrote about this journey in this week's blog, "When the Oil Looks Low: Building Anyway."

And if you're a woman entrepreneur who wants to protect everything you've worked so hard to build, join me for my upcoming estate planning webinar on October 10.

One of the biggest myths in estate planning is that you have to be older to need a plan. No one expects to pass away before 30 years old but it does happen. You could be in the middle of building your future, have people depending on you but like so many young adults, estate planning isn’t something we think that we need.

Estate planning does not have an age requirement. Responsibility is the requirement.

If you own a business, have children, own a home, or have people depending on you, it’s time to have a plan.

15 hearings. 12 judgments. $38,408 awarded.

Success in the courtroom is about more than results. It's about preparation, strategy, adaptability, and faithfully serving the clients who place their trust in you.

Every case is different. Every hearing matters. Every client deserves your best work.

Grateful for another day of advocacy.

𝐘𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭.

Our firm completed 15 hearings, resulting in 12 judgments totaling $38,408, with 3 matters continued for additional proceedings.

The numbers tell part of the story, but not the most important part.
What I take pride in is not the judgment amounts themselves. In many cases, there is a difficult reality on both sides of the courtroom. My responsibility is to advocate for my client, and I take that responsibility seriously.

What brings me satisfaction is knowing that years of experience, preparation, and strategic thinking allow me to effectively navigate cases even when the facts are complex, the information is limited, or unexpected challenges arise.

The practice of law requires the ability to analyze, adapt, pivot, and keep moving forward with the information available. Every hearing presents a unique set of circumstances, and every client deserves an attorney who is prepared to do the work.

Yesterday's results were the product of years spent developing those skills.

I am grateful for the trust my clients place in me and for the opportunity to advocate on their behalf every day.

What you see: me "relaxing" on the couch.

What I'm actually doing: researching, reviewing, responding, strategizing, and building results for clients.

One of the greatest misconceptions about a virtual law practice is that productivity has to look busy. In reality, technology, automation, and AI have changed the game. Today, a solo attorney can operate with the efficiency of a much larger firm while maintaining flexibility and exceptional client service.

Success isn't about looking overwhelmed. It's about creating systems that allow you to focus on what matters most.

Work smarter. Serve better. Deliver results.
