December 2, 2025

Stamford Police Respond to Barricaded Individual on Oaklawn Avenue

On December 2, 2025, upon preliminary investigation Stamford Police officers responded to a residence on Oaklawn Avenue, which escalated into a barricaded-suspect incident. As officers approached the residence, their vehicles came under gunfire. Multiple agencies responded with additional resources to assist.
During the course of the incident, the suspect exchanged gunfire with Stamford officers. The suspect appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Any further information will be released by the Inspector General’s Office. The scene is currently being processed by the Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Unit.
